Using movies and sounds in standalones

Postby RandW » Fri Jan 07, 2011 1:56 pm

I am confused about how to get my movies and sounds to play in my standalone. Do I import them as resources?
Is that done in the standalone maker or in SC? I am making a universal binary application.

I read the SC guide but could not figure this out.

Thanks for your help.

What version of SuperCard are you using?

Then I wouldn't really recommend using Standalone Maker's resources management to do this. 4.7 simplifies this considerably by updating the resource management to disk based files, but 4.6 still uses forked resources.

So with 4.6 you will need to copy these files to the application package after you have built the standalone. See pages 158-160 of the User Guide for details on how to do this.
