Bad Pack or Unpack Error

Postby ericrojo@telus.net » Tue Sep 03, 2013 11:05 pm

I have just completed a project and now I am starting to get "Bad pack or unpack error" notifications when I close the project and when I try to make a standalone. Is there a solution to this?

Are you able to compact this project?

At this point I would suggest you try it on a copy.

Thanks for your reply. I just remembered how I solved this same problem years ago. I just tried this and it worked. I tried to open individual cards one by one until I got the error. This pinpointed the card containing the corrupted object. Then I duplicated the window containing the offending card, renamed it to match the name of the original window, and created a temporary new button with a script to delete the original window along with the offending card, since trying to delete it manually caused the error. Worked beautifully.

Apparently making a copy of a card containing the corrupted object fixes the object!
