Importing from Supercard 1.5 (seriosuly!)

Postby hawk » Sat May 12, 2012 2:55 pm

I saw another post below suggesting that Supercard should be able to import from version 1.6.

I have to one-up that: I need to import a stack from 1991 that was made in version 1.5. :o

I've downloaded the trial version of supercard, but it shows it as greyed out (Lion, 27" iMac).

I *really* don't want to cut and paste every script & button back into hypercard (this is very much a non-trivial stack!).

Is there a way to convert, either on a Macintosh Classic or under Lion, into something modern?

Are you trying to open it from the Runtime Editor's File menu (Open Project…)?

I've tried opening from both SuperCard and SuperEdit; both show the file name greyed out.

Does the file have the correct Type and Creator codes?

Before leaving the Classic, it certainly does.

It sounds like (from your email) that hfsutils is still losing the resource fork even going from hfs diskette to hfs+ zip disk.

I may need a disk image with binhex or some such that I can use dd to create the floppy to get it onto the Mac Classic.

(I have been reading the stack on the Classic in 1.5, and am impressed with my work of 20+ years ago :D )
