Where is the plug-in?

Here's where to discuss using Stéphane Leys' very well done alternative runtime editor. If you're a control freak at runtime you have to check this out!

Where is the plug-in?

Postby drpitcairn » Tue Sep 10, 2013 2:31 pm

I was studying the use of anchordata and tried clicking on "install plugin". Now when I close the project I get a problem with this script:
Code: Select all
on unPlugDividers
remove script of (the PI_divplug of this proj) from back
end unPlugDividers

and this error window:
error 11.png
the error window
error 11.png (20.6 KiB) Viewed 4741 times

Any idea why this is happening?

Does "the PI_divplug of this proj" resolve to a valid object reference?

Well, that was the problem. It did not. However, I think I have solved it. In exploring this option and clicking on "install plugin" a graphic was created that was apparently the plugin or essential to it. I had deleted it thinking I would not use it. So I created a new project, did another "install plugin" and then copied and pasted the graphic and other scripts into the problem project. Once this was done, I was able to use "remove plugin" successfully.
So it appears that I had interfered in this way and thus created the problem. Such is learning.
