If you do a lot of coding, you should use a text editor

And I ain't talking 'bout Textedit.

You need a text editor in the old fashioned sense of the word - one that is useful for coding and which addresses the repetitive nature of the job and helps you use shortcuts to put in most of your code and does the grunt work for you. These programs will, by their nature, require that you use the mouse less and the keyboard more. Believe me, this is a good thing. You will be much more productive.

I did a screen capture movie that shows just a few of the features. Do not underestimate the power of code snippets!

If you are interested in trying out these programs, use these links:

Sublime text is the one I use most often, and I think it is the fastest and easiest implementation to insert snippets of code. Highly recommended.
