XFcns behave oddly in Lion

Postby fooddoc » Sat Oct 08, 2011 7:57 am

I'm having major problems converting old projects to SC 4.7.2 and running them in Lion. Many older Xfcns do not work, so I've replaced them with their XFcn equivalents in the Xtend project. But at least one - the dir XFcn - is not working as expected.

In the original project, this code worked fine, and returns a list of files by selected type in the target folder:

get dir(temp, false,false,",","TYPE","ABCD")

In the SC 4.7.2 project, the same function returns:

false
hfspath2fsref: Unknown error = -43

Can anyone explain this? Are there other XFns from the Xtend project that are also known to be troublesome in Lion?

-43 is a file not found. What is in 'temp'? and is it a valid path to a folder?

btw… in Lion, only Intel compatible externals will run as there is no longer any PowerPC emulation present in the OS.
