Thanks for looking--I suspect they may have lingered from HyperCard days, possibly HyperExternals Pro (I'm really dating myself, I think that goes back to the 80s). It's not a big deal, but they come in handy for extracting and inserting items in smaller arrays. SQL is great for larger amounts of data, but a bit excessive for say 10 lines of 10 items. However, just writing a getColumn() routine in SuperTalk is generally sufficiently speedy for that amount of data.
