SuperMySQL Update?

Yo, Bruce...

Any plans on updating SuperMySQL to UB? Latest on your page still has it using BundleBridge. :o

No immediate need here... Just curious. Good one to have in the bag of goodies.
My two favorite teams are Detroit and whoever's playing Chicago.

Well, so far every time I try I run into some stupid lib issues. It would be nice if SC would build in database connectivity. I find it hard to push for the use of SC in the work place without any DB support in it.

Our Man Bruce wrote:Well, so far every time I try I run into some stupid lib issues.

Just throwing things out there... Have you been trying with the latest libraries from them? Or with the built-in Libraries (are there any in Leopard now?)? Have you had a look at other libraries (if they can be tied into the same way) from MacPorts? I find the following with a grep:

Code: Select all
port list | grep mysql
gauche-dbd-mysql               @0.2.1          databases/gauche-dbd-mysql
mysql3                         @3.23.58        databases/mysql3
mysql4                         @4.1.22         databases/mysql4
mysql5                         @5.0.77         databases/mysql5
mysql5-devel                   @5.1.32         databases/mysql5-devel
mysqltcl                       @3.02           databases/mysqltcl
mysqlxx                        @3.0.2          databases/mysqlxx
mysql-connector-java           @5.0.7          java/mysql-connector-java
qore-mysql-module              @1.0.3          lang/qore-mysql-module
p5-class-dbi-mysql             @1.00           perl/p5-class-dbi-mysql
p5-dbd-mysql                   @4.010          perl/p5-dbd-mysql
py-mysql                       @1.2.2          python/py-mysql
py25-mysql                     @1.2.2          python/py25-mysql
py26-mysql                     @1.2.2          python/py26-mysql
rb-dbd-mysql                   @0.0.23         ruby/rb-dbd-mysql
rb-mysql                       @2.7.5          ruby/rb-mysql

Not being an X builder I can't really offer any suggestions as an "insider".

I would hope that it's something they're wanting to do "next time". :-)

[OT]. Hey. Looks like the Wings and Penguins could be meeting for The Cup this year. [/OT]
