I have heard templates are difficult in Xcode 4?

Would it be safe to use this project and rename it?

I believe if you click at objc at the top of the navigator you can rename the project.

Is that reliable for this purpose?

I think it should work, though I did end up with the wrong name on the project icon in one of the projects and have no idea how to fix that, but that has no effect on the build product, so is purely an aesthetic issue. It worked for the other, and of course you'll have to change the build product's name in the Info and Build Settings sections of the target.

Templates aren't that bad, but they're fairly new, no official docs, and more complex (but also more powerful) than the old ones. See here: http://snipt.net/yonishin/about-xcode-4 ... t-template and here: http://lanyrd.com/2011/lidg28/sffpf/ for more info.

One important thing: Be sure to edit the prefix header for each one, making sure the class names are unique in your XCMDs, to avoid that two Cocoa classes with the same name get loaded into SuperCard at the same time. I think we've discussed that before.

So is the conclusion of this thread that Xcode 4 can be used to build SC externals? I ask because I am planning to play around with Alec's SQLite code and it is an Xcode 3.2.6 project.

Thanks!
